Order Process

Give us a call or shoot us an email so we can guide you through the design process to customize your project. Or, visit one of our retailers in your area to see the collection and work with someone in person. Let us know the following details so we can provide you with an accurate quote:

- Which design from our collection are you interested in? Or are you looking for a custom design?

- What pieces will you need printed? (don't forget to think about menus, programs, escort cards, places cards or info cards!)

- How many of each piece will you need printed?

- How many ink colors?

- Any design changes?

We will then issue you a quote based on the information you've supplied and work out any details or answer any questions you may have. If you want to tell us all about your wedding, we're all ears! This can help us suggest relevant ideas to further customize your invites. There are no additional fees for customization to any of our designs (does not apply to custom illustration). A phone consultation will be scheduled for all custom work so we can chat about the event and gather any additional information we may need. Let us know of any inspiration, ideas, thoughts, themes, or feeling you have for your event.

place your order

Once you're ready to place your order, we'll need the wording for each piece. Need help? Just let us know! A 50 % deposit will be due before any design work is started.

approve your design proof

We will create an electronic pdf proof that will be sent to you via email within 2-3 days after your deposit is received. An overall timeline will be sent as well with an estimated ship date. Look over your proof and email us with any changes. Once you receive your proofs read them word by word and be sure to double check all names, places, addresses, dates, email addresses, spelling, and punctuation. If there are any changes that need to be made to the proof, let us know and we will issue a revised proof. Three free rounds of proofs are included, additional rounds are $25 each.

Once you've decided everything is perfect (+ several people have reviewed) sign your proof and fax it back to us. Once we receive your signed proof, Alee & Press is not responsible for any errors that were not detected by the customer during the proofing process. In addition, Alee & Press will not bear the cost of reprinting and shipping due to any errors you have overlooked in your proof, nor will a refund be issued. Once a proof is signed we will secure your job on our printing schedule.

Press checks are available for all our orders. Please contact us to arrange to visit our studio on your press date.

shipping + delivery

Your order will ship within 2-4 weeks for a wedding order & 2-3 weeks for a baby order. If you're in a hurry to get your wedding invitations or baby announcements out the door let us know when you first contact us! We'll try to expedite the process at no additional charge. We'll do our best to meet your deadline no matter how tight it is. Please contact us for current scheduling info. Wedding invitations should be mailed 6-8 weeks before your wedding date.
